Over the last few weeks, new episode of Islamic drama was on shows. First, the Health Minister announced that they found pork in Cadbury's halal-safe chocolates. Yes, you heard me right, pork in the chocolates. How a Cadbury chocolate made from pork was not the point, but it is not safe for Muslim to consume. Thousands of consumers felt cheated by Cadbury. In particular, some Muslim organizations were so upset, wanted to sue the company and asked for billions of compensation (spiritually and physically assault), and medical bill for blood transfusion to clean their "pork contaminated blood", though its non't sure where on earth can find the "pure blood" to replace their contaminated blood.
Although Islamic body who granted the halal-safe certification to the Cadbury products shall take the responsibility, the angry Muslims were seems much tolerate to them. Without delay, the Islamic authority make another statement claimed that the chocolate is pork free based on their test procedure and new samples. So, two bodies, the Health Minister and the Islamic authority have two different results on the Cadbury products. It could be some chocolates do contain pork while some do not, all depends on your luck. May god bless you.
Due to these confusion and uncertainty, the sales of the chocolates affected badly, as if all chocolates are made of pork and not safe. Muslim chocolate lovers were now ditching the urge for chocolates and stop their kids eating these harmful products.
Well done our Health Minister, this is so much effective way than increase the price of sugar, as an effort to reduce obesity and diabetes in Malaysia. Next time should try with pork contaminated cigarettes.
